IQTrack

Privacy Policy

Effective: September 12, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Account information (name, email), tracker location data, device status (battery, connectivity), and basic usage data needed to operate the service.

If you turn on Only-When-Away anti-theft for a tracker, we also collect your phone's own approximate location, including while the app is closed or in the background. Your phone reports its position when you move a significant distance so the service can tell whether your tracker is with you or somewhere else. This is off unless you enable it, you can turn it off at any time in the app or by revoking location permission in iOS Settings, and we store only your most recent reported position — not a history of your phone's movements.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the tracking service, send alerts you've configured, maintain your account, and improve reliability. Your phone's location, when collected, is used for one purpose only: comparing it against your tracker's location to decide whether to alert you. We do not use any location data for advertising, and we do not share your phone's location with anyone.

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so, and we will not. This is not limited to marketing: we do not trade, rent, or disclose your location data to anyone for any form of consideration.

4. Companies That Help Us Run IQTrack

A small number of vendors process data on our instructions, only to provide their service to us:

Google — maps, address lookup, and route reconstruction. Your tracker's coordinates are sent to Google to turn them into map tiles, street addresses, and driving routes. Amazon Web Services — hosting and encrypted backups. Stripe — payment processing. We never receive or store your card number. Apple and Google — delivery of the push notifications you have turned on.

None of them is permitted to use your location data for their own purposes. Your phone's own location, if you enable Only-When-Away, is not sent to any of them — it stays on our server and is used only for the comparison described in Section 2.

5. Data Retention

We keep your tracker's location history while your account is open, so trip history and analytics work. When you delete your account we remove your account, your access, your geofences, and your alert history from our live systems right away. Encrypted backups rotate on a 90-day cycle, so residual copies can persist there for up to 90 days before being overwritten.

6. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your IQTrack account yourself, at any time, in the app: Account → Privacy & Security → Delete Account. We ask for your password first, and the deletion cannot be undone.

If auto-renew is on, turn it off in Service & Billing before deleting, so you are not charged again — the app will tell you if this applies. If you cannot get into the app, email support@iqtrackgps.com and we will delete the account for you.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

IQTrack is operated by IQTRONICS INC, a California corporation.

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email); commercial information (subscription and payment records); precise geolocation (your trackers' positions, and — only if you enable Only-When-Away — your phone's most recent position); and device and usage data needed to run the app. We collect it from you, from your trackers, and from our payment processor, and we use it for the purposes in Section 2.

Precise geolocation is "sensitive personal information" under California law. We use it only to provide the service you asked us for: showing you where your tracker is, building your trip history, and sending the alerts you set up. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use or disclose it for any other purpose.

You have the right to know what we have collected about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, and to delete it. You will never be treated differently for exercising those rights. You can delete your account and its data yourself in the app (Section 6), or make any of these requests by emailing support@iqtrackgps.com or writing to us at the address in Section 12. We will verify who you are before we act, and we will respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.

We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

8. Law Enforcement Requests

We may disclose account or location information in response to valid legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or where required to prevent imminent harm. If you report that a tracker has been placed on you without your consent, we will cooperate with law enforcement on valid legal process.

9. Data Security

Everything the IQTrack app sends to and from our servers is encrypted in transit with TLS, and our backups are encrypted at rest. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by California law.

10. Children

IQTrack is not directed to children and you must be 18 or older to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email support@iqtrackgps.com and we will delete it.

11. Your Choices

You can adjust tracking mode and frequency, delete geofences, manage alert preferences, turn Only-When-Away off, and delete your account — all from within the app. We do not track you across other companies' websites, and we do not respond to Do Not Track signals.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date, and we will tell you in the app or by email.
