What does it cost, all-in?
The device price (one-time, $149.99–$299.99 depending on battery) plus service: $19.99 a month, or $192 for a full year — the annual plan works out to $16.00 a month and saves you about $48. That's everything. No activation fees, no speed tiers, no surprise line items.
How does activation work?
Unbox the tracker, download the app, scan the barcode on the tracker's label — the app reads the tracker ID off it — and tap Activate. Your plan starts at that moment, not while the box was in the mail. Can't get a clean scan? Snap a photo of the label and the app will read it from that, or type the ID in by hand. If you'd rather do it with a person, email us and we'll walk through it together.
How often does it update?
That's your call, and you can change it any time from your phone. Live mode reports every 5 seconds when you're watching; standard modes check in every minute to every hour to stretch battery. Motion wakes it up, parking quiets it down.
How long does the battery really last?
Depends on the model and how often it checks in — every check-in costs battery, so the update rate does more to your runtime than anything else. At the standard setting, on a vehicle that spends most of its time parked, we estimate Small ≈ 5 days, Medium ≈ 3 weeks, Large ≈ 45 days, Overdrive XL ≈ 3 months. Real driving shortens that, because adaptive tracking speeds updates to every 5 seconds while the vehicle is moving — that's the trade for knowing exactly where it is in the moment that matters. Run it in Live tracking around the clock and even the biggest battery is measured in days. These are engineering estimates from real discharge logging on our own hardware, not guarantees. The Hardwire runs off the vehicle's own power and never needs charging.
Where does it work?
Anywhere in the U.S. with 4G LTE coverage — the tracker uses the same cell towers your phone does. Underground garages and true dead zones pause reporting until it's back in coverage; you'll see the trail pick right back up.
Can I see where it's been, not just where it is?
Yes — history is part of every plan. Routes, stops, and times, kept for as long as you have service.
Can I cancel easily?
Yes — by yourself, in the app, in about ten seconds. Open Service & Billing and switch auto-renew off; you keep the service you've already paid for until it runs out, and nothing is charged again. No phone call, no email, no retention script, no "loyalty department." The industry turned cancelling into a fight on purpose — it's the single most common complaint about every tracker company we compete with — so we built the off switch into the app and put it one tap from the price. If you'd rather a person did it for you, call and we will.
